1st Annual Fine Arts Camp, August 11-15, 2014

Check your mailboxes, Bailey students!  Invitations were sent out today for this year's 1st annual Fine Arts Camp.

Dates for this year's camp are August 11-15.
Monday-Thursday, 12:00-2:30pm
Friday, 10:30am-2:00pm
Performance for incoming sixth graders will take place Friday, August 15th at 11:30am.

All registration is due by August 6th.  Please bring $5 on Monday, August 11th to pay for your t-shirt.

Still looking for volunteers...

Thank you to all who have already volunteered in helping with the Fine Arts concession stand on July 25-27.  We are still in need of a few more volunteers on Saturday July 26th and Sunday July 27th.  If you are free, please email Ms. Reineke at eareineke@interact.ccsd.net.  Parent, guardians, and students...we need you!

We need your help!

ATTENTION ALL BAILEY STUDENTS, PARENT/GUARDIANS, AND TEACHERS! Are you looking for something to do this summer, and would you be willing to help support the Bailey Fine Arts program?

Bailey Middle School will be hosting a youth basketball tournament July 25-27, and the Fine Arts department has been asked to sell concessions (food, drinks, snacks, etc.) during the games.  WE NEED YOUR HELP during this time to run the concession stands at Bailey.  If you are able and interested, email Ms. Reineke AS SOON AS POSSIBLE at eareineke@interact.ccsd.net and let her know which days and times you would be free.  All profits will directly benefit students during upcoming Fine Arts field trips anticipated for the 2014-2015 school year.

As you are now a few days away from school, I just want to say thank you again for such a wonderful year, Bailey BlueJays! 2014-2015 Percussion Ensemble Applications will be distributed this week!

Attention returning students!  Would you like to learn how to play percussion?  This will include learning instruments like drums, xylophone, mallets, and more!

Percussion Ensemble will be offered as an elective of the band program DURING THE SCHOOL DAY next year.  Applications for 2014-2015 percussion ensemble are being distributed to students this week, and are due back to me (Ms. Reineke) by Friday, May 30.  Please stop by room 221 for an application and audition this week.  Students will be notified of their acceptance into percussion ensemble before the end of the school year.

Next year is going to be great!  I'm looking forward to YOU being a part of it!!

New semester...new music!

Semester exams are complete, and students are beginning to receive new music!  Practice logs are starting again this week.  First practice log assignment of the quarter will be due on Monday.

Beginners are expected to practice 60 minutes per week.

Intermediate and Advanced students are expected to practice 90 minutes per week.
